Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Dylan Zhang, an individual based in California, USA, who operates Find the Real Me (“Find the Real Me,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of https://findthereal.me and any related content, quizzes, reports, and purchases (the “Service”). By using the Service or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Entertainment only

The Service offers personality quizzes and reports for entertainment purposes only. Results, reports, historical comparisons, and “compatibility” content are lighthearted and partly fictional interpretations. They are not psychological, psychiatric, medical, career, financial, legal, relationship, or any other professional advice, assessment, or diagnosis, and you should not rely on them for decisions. Rarity labels and “Only X% get this” figures are estimates from simulated answers, not measurements of actual users. If you need help with your mental health, talk to a qualified professional. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms for you. If you are under 18, review these Terms with your parent or guardian.

3. Purchases and pricing

  • Single quiz unlock: $0.99 (USD), a one-time payment that unlocks one quiz. That means you can take the quiz and read the full report for your result.
  • All-Access Pass: $9.99 (USD), a one-time payment that unlocks every quiz currently on the Service and every quiz we add later, for as long as we offer the Service.
  • Not a subscription. There are no recurring charges. Prices may change in the future, but a change never affects a purchase you have already made. Applicable sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout.
  • Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe under the Stripe Consumer Terms and the Stripe Privacy Policy. You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.
  • Digital content, delivered immediately. Your unlock takes effect as soon as the payment is confirmed. It is saved in the browser you used to buy. If you change device or clear your browser data, you can restore it using the email address you used at checkout (see Restore purchase), or by contacting us.
  • Your license. A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to view the unlocked content for your own non-commercial use. It does not give you ownership of the content.

4. All sales are final

All purchases are final and non-refundable once the digital content is delivered (that is, once your unlock takes effect), except where a refund is required by applicable law. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, for a result you did not like, or for content you have already unlocked.

If a purchase fails to unlock because of a technical problem, email [email protected] with the email address you used at checkout and, if you can, the date of purchase, and we will help restore your access. You can also try Restore purchase first.

If you live in the EU, EEA, or UK: by completing a purchase, you ask for the digital content to be supplied immediately and you expressly acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once supply begins. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve problems faster. We may suspend access to content tied to a disputed or reversed payment.

5. Intellectual property

The Service and its content are owned by Dylan Zhang or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. That content includes quiz questions, scoring, result descriptions, reports, original illustrations, designs, logos, the Find the Real Me name, and software. Portraits of historical figures are public-domain works, credited on our Image credits page. Except as these Terms allow, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works from the Service or its content.

Sharing. You may share your own result, for example with the share image or link we provide, on social media and messaging apps for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not republish full paid reports or make paid content available to people who have not bought it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • bypass, disable, or interfere with the paywall, unlock tokens, or other access or security features;
  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content, or use automated means to access the Service except for ordinary search engine indexing;
  • resell, sublicense, or share purchases or unlock tokens, or offer paid content to others;
  • reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
  • overload, attack, or disrupt the Service, or introduce malware;
  • make fraudulent purchases or use a payment method you are not authorized to use; or
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone or infringe anyone’s rights.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), and Resend (email). Their own terms and policies govern their services, and we are not responsible for them. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only.

8. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove quizzes and features at any time. The All-Access Pass covers the quizzes we offer for as long as we operate the Service.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not promise that any result or report is accurate, meaningful, or suitable for you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Dylan Zhang and Find the Real Me will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) US$10. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dylan Zhang from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access, including access to purchased content, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, commit fraud, or abuse the Service, or if the law requires it. Sections 4 through 7 and 9 through 14 survive termination, as does any other provision that by its nature should.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may instead bring an eligible claim in small claims court. Before filing any claim, please email [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If you are a consumer living in the EU, EEA, or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these Terms and general provisions

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will give a clear notice on the Service before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms. Changes never apply retroactively to purchases you have already made. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that does not waive it. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them to a successor operator of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. The English version of these Terms is the binding version. Any translation is provided for convenience only.
